National ensemble of soloists “Kiev Kamerata” is one of the most distinguished performers of various types of chamber music in Ukraine. Their repertoire ranges from early baroque to most recent works by the 21st century composers. Their main artistic mission, however, is performing music written by Ukrainian composers and popularizing it abroad.

From 1994 till 1999, Ivan Karabits was an art director of the “Kiev Kamerata.” Over five years of productive cooperation, he presented a series of concerts “Kamerata Time.” Along with his friend – conductor and composer Virko Baley, they released a lot of recordings and organized a tour to the United States.

It was “Kiev Kmerata” that inspired the following works:

1. Six preludes for string orchestra (1994) Listen
(from the cycle «24 preludes for piano». Composer's own arrangement for string orchestra).

2. Music from Waterside For 5 performers (1994) Listen

3. Concerto-Tryptych for strings (1996) Listen

4. Seven preludes for string orchestra (1997)
(from the cycle «24 preludes for piano». Composer's own arrangement for string orchestra).

5. Vio-Serenade for strings (2000)
      Dedicated to Roman Kofman.

Their highly professional performance was recognized far beyond Ukraine’s music borders: in Germany, Austria, France, the U.S., China, Poland, Greece, Russia, the Baltic states, Armenia and Georgia. Countless concerts and regular appearance in national and international fests reinforce band’s popularity and its image of an unparallel performer of different styles and forms of chamber music.
